Stop Hotmail from auto launching MSN Messenger

MSN Messenger has this stupid "feature" where it auto launches whenever you log in to your Hotmail account even if you're not signed in to Messenger. I find it extremely annoying because you have to wait for all the ads to load before Messenger finally starts up. What's up with all the intrusive software these days that think they're so smart that they have to start up when you're doing something completely unrelated? Ok, well maybe not completely unrelated. But when I log in to Hotmail that means I want to check my email, not chat on Messenger! What's worse is there's no way to turn this "feature" off!

Anyway, enough with the rant. Here's a nifty little program that'll let you turn the feature off and prevent Messenger from auto launching when you log in to Hotmail.

Simply click the button to enable or disable auto launch. It doesn't affect Messenger functionality and you can still manually sign in or out whenever you like. And rest assured, it doesn't run in the background or contain spyware or any other junk so feel free to delete it when you're done with it.

Tested on Windows XP with MSN Messenger 7.0, 7.5 and Windows Live Messenger. Should work on other versions as well. Requires .NET Framework 1.1 or newer.
